Default What to choose SX 10 or P 90 or DSLR XSI

Hi all,

I am thinking to replace my canon s2 IS (of late got some noise in pictures eventhough in low ISO around 50-100).
I am a lover of super zoom.
So Can I go for Canon SX 10 IS or Nikon P 90 or

can I jump to DSLR (Xsi) I am
my max budget ($600).Also which lenses give the telephoto range equivalent to sx 10.
Any help highly appreciated.

Thank you

An SX10is has a range of 28-560. Getting to 600mm is going to cost you several thousand dollars in high-end gear, even if you "cheat" with a 300mm and TC.

If youre really obsessed with the range, than theres no real better bang-for-the-buck than the SX10is.. provided you can live with the image quality. An XSI would give you MUCH better image quality at the more often used focal lengths (the 28-200 range). Even with just a 18-200 or similar you'd have just about everything covered.

I'd suggest an XSi or similar over the SX10is, but if you really want that zoom range i wont stop you.

Hi Adam, Thanks for your suggestions. I am going to just wait for some good deals on lenses, If I get some really good lens at affordable prices I am going for XSI. Let me wait for one more month.
