Default Need some big guns to use this!

Just saw this today. It's even got its own handle.

Amusing! I just tweeted that before I saw your post...

@ajlmarques RT @chrishunte: Sigma 200-500mm f/2.8 EX DG lens with no tripod http://twitpic.com/3lha9 Can you really handheld that? LOL

Crumbs! Holding my 400mm (5.7) is hard enough...

That's massive, as are the images it gets. Personally, I'd need someone to hold the handle on the lens while I'm taking a picture because I know I can't to it on my own.

I saw that lens while I was browsing the Warehouse Express website putting together another lens-porn wish-list

If was earning enough through photography to justify spending more than I'd consider spending on two cars and a motorbike, I might think about it...

£20k!

You need to sell a lot of photographs to pay for that.

Might be kind of hard traveling with that. Looks more like a Cannon/Bazooka than a lens, people might get suspicious, I'd imagine it'd be hard to get through airport security with that.

I recall seeing a Canon 1000mm beast a while ago that actually had a smaller (200 mm?) lens mounted on top of it -- basically as a sight, so that you could have any clue whatsoever about what you were looking at through the lens!
