Default Personal challenge...

... Went to the Zoo yesterday for Easter Sunday with the family... I gave myself a challenge to only use one lens...

and it had to be prime. DUN DUN DUN!!!!!

Went with the 105 2.8... It was a fun experiment

It's great trying that challenge for two reasons:
1.) you really start to learn the pros & cons of the lens or rather advantages and limitations of that lens.
2.) you'll carry more lenses with you next time

As to #2. I had other lenses with me just in case something was so interesting i had to break my rule... but, alas... nothing was that awesome.

I did something similar with my Easter weekend in Charleston, SC. I did not even bring my camera bag out with me. Only used my new 24-105mm. Once I get home from work I will probably make a thread and invite everyone to check them out.

I did this when I first got my 50mm. Kept me thinking and moving.....Gets me out of the habit of just zooming in for a closer shot.
