Surely the fact that cropping vs not cropping being on the same list says "Have a laugh" rather than, "this list list is bogus, how can you be so stupid and judgemental".
Um, dude, I got the joke. I even pointed out the bits of the joke that I appreciated, namely it's self contradictory nature. As a list, it's pretty funny, but as a group on Flickr, that someone is taking the time to actively promote, it's a waste.

Good to see this much response!

You don't always have to be finding constructive ways of learning things. You can just let your hair down and laugh a bit. And if you took some time to checking the group out, you'd see that it's devotions lie somewhere totally different.

If you'd broaden your mind a bit and take some time to get to know the group a bit more, you'd see that it's a place for bunch of laugh-liking people to gather and chat whatever
Just light-hearted fun with cool people.

But hey, it's ok not to like the joke as much as we do.

As this group's original creator, ArchedRoof says:

Why would I turn a possibly decent photo into a total abomination? I'll tell you... There's a new group called PEO that is at the moment exploding. If you like mindless chatter and threads that stay so off topic they turn into full on discussions about what you had for breakfast, then this is the place to go.

The idea behind PEO was to make a list of bad editing techniques, just for a bit of fun. Over a few weeks it became a monster and turned into something far beyond what we'd ever expect.

Go and visit and say hi in the forums... It's not as scary as it first looks, that's just part of it's guise.
Just a little more info of the group's contents.

I think you people don't understand!

The more you practice these sins, the more you are saved. It works in a reverse principle compared to the biblical commandments.

That's the only way i see them. Am i right? or just an "ways of taking good photographs heretic?"

Soooo guilty. I think all of my photos fall into at least one of these "infractions".

Funny story - I thought I came up with a brilliant way to soften my photos, turned out it was just a mild version of the Orton effect. I still like it though.

I'm also fully addicted #40 Vignetting. Seriously I try to avoid it then add it just to see what it looks like and always end up leaving it on there. I can't help myself.
