I was on craigslist and came by this but i don't know what it is?

Not really, but it looks to be video and not "phtotgraphic". Looks like it records direct to external storage device.

If you don't know what it is why would you want it, regardless of the price.

Definately video based though. You can tell from the type of inputs/outputs on it.

I think it's a video thingy. Notice the S Video ports and the AV jacks on the right side.

Looks to be a duplication device for old slides and such. Record them to a CD or other media for replication/preservation.

Should come with other associated hardware/software. If it doesn't it wouldn't be worth too much.

It's possible it could be the body portion of a high speed video camera unit, but that is just a guess. It looks similar to an older style we used to use in a research and development lab at a company I used to work at a few years ago. I could certainly be wrong on this...just a guess.

It's a " thingyjig" for making "whatsits"...and unless you can find a market for whatsits, I would'nt buy it>

Looks like a densitometer- for checking the density of overall tones of 35mm film. The ideal film negative/slide had a density of Gamma 0.7 Regards, Ken
