Question 3,000 Images in a day ??

I was wondering if anyone has done this ? On Sunday I shot some photos at a surf contest, then went to a headland and did some wave spray shots and then went for a walk in the bush to try my first daytime bulb of a waterfall , then went and nailed the sunset I had to download a card at 2,108 images and then came home and found I had another 1,308 shots of bush and sunset and waterfall and a little lizard and etc etc etc . Am I crazy or just obsessed ? Do you think this is excessive ( sorry that should read how excessive is this ?) Whats the most shots you,ve taken in a day ?

You are for sure crazy and very addicted . Did you eyes & finger hurt at the end of the day?

You did in one day a third of what i did with my Xti in 7 months. LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My maxi was 1245 RAW shots @ my best friend's wedding. (took me 4 full days to process, edit, and compile in a DVD Video + Album as a gift.)

Good job getting out and shooting like that.
I know I could easily hit 3000 in a day. When I went to AZ i was getting 500 in a hour or so.
I just didnt have the energy to keep going with my bad heart.
I love days where I get a ton of shots....give me images to PP on days i don't feel like getting out.
I envy you being in an area that has such great scenes and things to shoot such as the surf contest.
I think the only way that can be called obsessive is if the images are of every inch of the journey. If you were shooting the car as you got in it then the steering wheel the cars in front of you and the stop lights it might be a bit much. But if you have legitimate subjects to shoot then its just good old fun!

When I was shooting the SCCA stuff I easily hit 1,000 shots... and that was only a few hours of shooting due to rain.

To be honest the only bit that hurt was the cramping in my left hand from holding and moving the tripod and adjusting settings it seemed to get the raw end of the deal , the really crazy part is I was out today and took another 1200 shots , maybe I should seee a doctor about this .............where is WooD

Love that , its so funny .... heres me starting the car , here I am putting it in gear , here I am ......................ha ha ha . Sorry to hear that your condition slows you down mate , certainly doesnt effect the quality of it though . Its funny you say I have great things to shoot as I'm bored with everything around here and am looking at travelling for a little while to expand my subjects , I guess the grass really is greener . All the best .

Im going to alaska for 12 days this summer - I plan on bringing two 4 gig SD cards and four 2 gig SD cards.

I actually bought a 40 gig pocket hard drive to empty the cards onto. Its going to be a lot of photos!

I don't shoot like that, I'm too "careful". I plan all of my shots, even action/wildlife shots. That does mean I miss some shots, but it also means I don't have to sort thru hundreds of bad ones....

To me the sorting/organizing/keywording/storing is the worst part of photography...
