Default For all RPG fans among us

Hey all,

Taking up Wulf's suggestion... so here's a thread for all RPG fans among us! I'll start by posting the RPGs I've played on the PC. I used to play pen & paper DnD with the 2nd Ed rules, but it got harder and harder to meet up with the guys. Really enjoyed playing on PC too. I must admit I enjoyed playing on PC more than p&p. I'm a really visual person and being able to see my character on screen and the environments beat using my imagination haha.
I've played a few Japanese RPGs as well and my fave is Final Fantasy 7. Sadly I couldn't find the box for it.

Among those pictured, my favorites are Baldur's Gate 2 and Torment. Both of them have really good story lines. Really like the combat and weapons in Baldurs Gate 2. I played a dual wielding fighter the first time round. 2 swords are better than 1 methinks
In Torment, I really liked the interesting characters in the party and their back stories. The Planescape universe was really fun and wacky.

FF7 rocks! (My 2 1/2 year old loves Aerith. Which might have something to do with the wall scroll in my room )

I never managed to find box version of Torment, and have lost Arcanum, my favorite. Thanx to my past job as game reviewer I've had that luck to play almost every crpg that came to market 99-now, excluding gothic 2-3 and... dungeon siege 2. Sadly, they did not allow me to keep the games

My favorites are Arcanum, VTM: Bloodlines and (first) KOTOR. Gothic, Witcher, and BG2 are sharing the 2nd place.

Urgh, Diablo II... I was making such good progress on that when my HD crashed and ate everything. At that point I couldn't bring myself to go back and start from the beginning

I'm also not feeling like busting out the camera this morning, but: Diablo, Diablo II, BG2, NWN, NWN2 (although I never got into the NWN2 interface the same way I did the original)... What can I say, a girl's got to have a hobby

me too..

the only "RPG" i've been seriously addicted to was an ANCIENT game ('94 or so)
called "Ultima Underworld" i believe its similar to DnD .. battling goblins, stealing armour from the dudes you kill.. flying eyeballs. spells & potions ..all the stuff a teenage boy can dream of,

*sigh*
a modern version would be cool to try out.

That rings a bell, but I don't recall it strongly, must have been one a friend liked. The ancient one I used to play a lot was Darklands. You had four characters who travelled around medieval Germany fighting evil and learning new skills in each town. I used to love live role play, far more than computer games or tabletop, but I can't play any more
