Post Specific Photographic Obsessions

Today, I was thinking about my Specific Photographic Obsessions. For example, when you pass by something in your daily life do you ever feel inclined to take a picture of it? Not just one thing either, its the everything like that. I read on here that someones SPO was to take pictures of doors with numbers on them. They're up there pretty high too, in the twenties I think. Mine is whenever I see a bench (especially an empty one) , I always want to take a picture of it. I don't know why, I just do. It think its because it reminds me that life is always on the move, or something like that.

So, feel free to share your Specific Photographic Obsession (or SPO).

Heck yeah: lonely leaves. I already really like to photograph industrial ruins, and somehow lonely leaves (a leaf, hanging or laying alone) evoke much of the same emotions: loneliness, loss, ruin, decay. Not particularly happy, but it catches me.

So yeah, I've taken just a few... ok a whole lot! Not all are particularly good, but boy do I feel the need to try.

I love old barns and broken down cars. Unfortunately this often involves blatant tresspassing, which can be dangerous, because people who have old barns and broken down cars on their property tend to be well armed.

Normally about anything that catches my eye. Shadows playing on light, people doing funny, interesting things, reflections, whatever.

Old windows and gates that have artistic value and will exist no more one day because of progress. In the town I currently live there are houses older than 100 years (some older than 200, and some public buildings are standing since Ottoman empire was here in 1500-1600) and I've noticed that more and more of them (outside protected town core) is replaced with modern buildings which can give home to more people on the same space... Problem is that modern buildings dont have gates made of oak and with delicate relifs, or windows with plaster leaves and ivy or faces around them... So, I'm taking photos of theese windows and gates before they all disappear... (it's not going to happen now, but in 10 or 20 years, who knows...)
