It seems that Scott Kelby launched a new flash based portfolio, muic and all, and got excatly the same feedback he would have got had he posted here. Hillarious!
http://www.scottkelby.com/blog/2009/archives/4093 Luckily he listens to the feedback and has fixed it quick smart. Last edited by fletch; 04-03-2009 at 02:24 PM. |

I like Flash, don't get me wrong, but it is so over-used and abused now-days that I've come to the point where if I see excessive flash websites, I just bypass them altogether. Most are a complete waste of time with little thought having gone into their creation except how much bling can you possibly fit into a single web page.
Those that are completely overdone just tell me that the owner never really had the viewer in mind when it was created. It's like showing off your fancy sportscar by decking it out with every accessory known to man. It just screams "ignore me because I'm annoying". ![]() I like jewelry too, but there is a fine line between pretty, gawdy, and outright obnoxious. My wife wears two earings...one in each ear...and a single wedding ring. I think she is pretty. Mr. T, on the other hand, is obnoxious. The same can be said of flash websites. And we are seeing the flash back-lash. ![]() Don't give up on Flash, but use it responsibly or you will scare people away from your site.
