Default My D90 is broken :(

Well i'm a bit vexed to say the least, my beloved camera has had to go for repair due to it turning itself of on live view and some of the pixels in the viewfinder are dead.

Four months old i get this, should i be losing any trust in Nikon at the moment? After my year waranty then what?

Anyway anyone else had this before and whats your opinion on it.

Sorry you're dealing with this. Mine has been fine so far.

My take is that stuff breaks, whether its a car, toaster, camera, etc. Better to have it break during the warranty than after. I'd judge Nikon more on how they treat you during this repair process than on the fact that it needs to be repaired.

Good luck, and hope you get it back quickly and that it works like a charm.

Pixels in the viewfinder? Is that not a view through the lens optics and not an LCD screen?

Yes you are correct, the LCD screen is fine its the turning itself of fault that i don't like the look of even when repaired, i'm sure the viewfinder iluminated LED can be replaced easy.

I just hope they replace rather then repair but we shall see.
