Well I selected places, but I assume that encompasses everything that is not a person. I mostly shoot Animals, Nature, scenerey, etc... but not necessarily places as in travel photography.

Sometimes I shoot people, but since I don't like to get in people's faces I usually do it from a far with my 200mm lens for candid shots, like the one I recently posted in the Stranger thread.

I like to shoot people, though since I'm still not comfortable shooting strangers and my friends and family are fed up with posing for me, I pretty much only shoot what's available... which leaves places and things.

Definitely people. I readily admit that I don't have the eye for taking pictures of places, especially those *artsy* photos. I can easily recognize a good shot that someone else has taken, but I have trouble visually framing a shot of a brick wall with a pipe coming out of it. To me, I'd never think twice about taking such a picture, but I've seen it on this board and it sure does look good.

I'm definitely a people picture takerer, if that's a term.

Places. Yes, definitely places.

Photographing places is easy. They don't move, and don't cop an attitude if you ask them to stay still for a moment while you adjust a few settings.

Places and things.

Someone asked me once if all I shot was landscapes. I said it was because a landscape or object wouldn't lie to me. Since then, I've been able to get a few people shots where they are unaware that I'm doing it, which seems to work better for me than shooting them straight on.

I prefer places. Like katkero, I'm not a fan of posed photos, and candid shots can be difficult when someone notices you taking a photo where they might show up in the frame. I've asked people if I can take a photo with them in the frame, but they end up posing, or facing the camera, or at least aware of the camera, which tends to ruin the spontaneity.

landscapes and things mainly because am quite shy and not very confident in myself when it comes to snapping people.

I have two preschool children - the majority of my photo-taking is capturing candid shots of them. Such fun! I do occasionally take photos of place, but since I don't get out much (due to the entourage that must accompany me, LOL!), I find my opportunities for photographing places is rather limited. I mean, a new picture of my living room every day would get rather old.

i like people doing things, which is why my website consists mostly of people climbing, skating, etc. I'm not a fan or portraits, I hated going to get my picture taken as a kid, having to wear clothes I didn't like and sit still for eternity as the photographer adjusted me.

Landscapes are fun too, but I can only take so many before they all still blur together.
