The best thought I had today?

No matter how unappreciated you may feel (or even actually BE) at any given time, you're still making a difference to someone... even if it's just your dog. ~me~

We can't always be patted on the back or given promotions for the little things in life, and yet the little things are the ones we most desire to be noticed. When they aren't acknowledged, we feel used and unappreciated. (Hey, I'm a teacher... I can tell you about being unappreciated!) However, in my deepest moments of despair and darkest hours of frustration, I can honestly say, "Hey, at least my dog cares."

Laugh or smirk if you want, but I know we've all been there. I sure have been! And I can honestly say --- Ginger appreciates every bowl of food, every belly rub, every bowl of water, every stick thrown & every kiss given. My cat, Harvey.... well.... he may not care about the $$$ I spent on his toys, but when I give him his daily "wet" food, he purrs like an engine... and I think he appreciates it.

Appreciate yourself. Realize what you give every day and do something nice for yourself... just don't tell the spouse I told you to when you buy that new piiece of glass you've been wanting!

After reading about the sudden death of Natasha Richardson (How many of us have had a hard head bump? A lot, I'm sure.), I thought about the sudden deaths of 3 friends of my children (two car accidents and a fire). My thought:

"You are never guaranteed a tomorrow, so make sure you make the most of each day."

This, for some reason just popped in my mind:
My grandkids think I'm a hero even when I feel like I'm nothing more than a zero...

Snoopy, you are so right. If you are lucky enough to have a job that is not work but pleasure you are rewarded fully

I'm reading a book right now about a little girl with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (it's a fictional story, but very moving and complicated) and I am again realizing how incredibly blessed I am to have two perfectly healthy, beautiful, bright children.
