Default how many photos do you have ?

i just collated all my photos and put them into my pictures in a folder saying "ones ive taken" (and put what ive got off the net and what not into another, very few pics), and for the sake of it i thought i'd see how many photos were in there, and how much hard disk space its taking up.

turns out i have just under 13,000 photos ! i think thats alot, how many do others have ?

and it was 25GB ( there abouts ) of disk space.

it all seems alot to me.. and i don't even have a DSLR ( yet )

I am not sure. Probably thousands. Everytime I go out to take photo's I come back with anything from 300-800 and I am not real good at deleting them. I have to start doing that.

Great topic!

My digital photo hierarcy dates back to 2001 and contains just shy of 24,000 files and 77 Gb. The crazy part is that the shutter count on my D80 is over 13,000 and the camera is only 14 mo. old!

In 2008 I shot over 15,000 images, and I'm almost to 5,000 so far for 2009. I tend not to throw anything away, so these numbers include what's likely a lot of junk.
