Dust!!! AARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!

And the sensor cleaner. It does not work!!!!! AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!

I'd like digital cameras to have little vacuum cleaner inside that suck the dust and other partials out and expel out the bottom whilst it is in use.

I just used a rocket blower in the end to blow the dust out and used the clone tool to attempt to repair the ruined photos. (Those ruined by dust not those ruined by my lack of skill :-p)

I hate it when people ask me to shoot events for them for free or some token amount of money. Why? Because I dont have enough time to do the post processing on the images. What I usually do is tell them to go hire a photographer. If they really really really dont have enough money to do that then I will shoot the event for free. Why for free?? Because I dont want to feel bad when I only retouch a handful of images and then batch process the rest. The fix??? start saying NO!!! and then mean it. Or just start quoting people normal rates, which, at least here, is so much more than what people are willing to spend.

Just yesterday, 3-14-2009, I had a new experience. Went to the Milwaukee St. Patrick's Day Parade. I got there early, found what I thought to be a great spot for the best shots. People started arriving & they all kept their distance so as not to intrude on my ability to get The shot. I even heard parents telling their kids to watch out & not bother the nice photographer. I told them not to worry. I didn't want to impose on the family fun. I try hard not to be too impossive. I didn't want to ruin anybodies parade. Then along comes this dude with his 2 cameras with big bad-arse white lenses! Mister Big Shot got in mine & everybody elses way constantly!! I would wait until the subjects of my shots were in just the right spot so that the lighting would be right & bam , there he is, Mister Big Shot would walk out into the road to get the angle he wanted!! Not caring about ruining the experience for others, & more importantly, ruining my shot!! Then he would come back to the roadside & stand right in front of me!! It was almost like he was doing it on purpose. Testing me or something! A kind of, "My lenses are bigger than yours", sort of thing. I'm not usually one to back down from a confrontation but I felt, under the circumstances, to let it go. It was a parade after all. So, I swallowed my pride, kept my mouth shut, & found a new spot to take shots. Now today I see some of his shots are in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper!! I'm not positive but I think they are his shots. They appear to be from same spot I was in. Let me tell you, they are nothing special!! My shots would have been just as good as his, given the opportunity!! I could have done the "paparazzi" thing & jumped in front of him to get my shots. That would have ruined it for everybody though.

Now, I'll grant you this. I may be making a bit to much of this. He was getting paid to get "The Shot", but does that give him the right to interfere with everybody elses experience? I let him get away with it by sticking my tail between my legs & cowering off. I feel like my manhood has been tested & I lost bigtime!!

What to you guys think? Has this ever happened to you? Should I have confronted him or fought for that perfect spot? I look forward to your responses.

I'll be back later. I gotta go wrestle a couple of bulls or something to make me fell manly again.

Ever seen the Star Wars? You know the scene where Luke goes to place of dark side, decapitate Darth Vader only to see it was him under the mask all the time? Yes, fear (of manhud being stept on) and anger come within us. So, Luke needed that lesson, before he confronted darth in Episode VI and did it like he should... And won the war.

You did it the first time around, without Yoda or anything. You should be proud of yourself. Who cares that he got his photos, let him have them if that is only thing he knows of... being a human is much more important.

I hate: i dont have the cash to get the studio equipment i'm so badly dting for
why: its seriously holding me back in terms of my learning and development
fix: mug a grandma, ask for a raise (yeah right), sell some organs, rob a bank, rob a camera store.
OR.. the most likley one.. just wait and keep saving.

That's an interesting one. I'm just imagining how funny it would have been if the photos in the newspaper had been someone else's under the headline "Photographers Get In Fight, Sully Good Name of Irish."
