Default Burning RAW to dvd's

I have a Nikon D40X , I shoot in Raw , My problem is that I can view my pictures on my Computor with my program. I can view my dvd that I burned on my computor, But I can not view my pictures on someone elses computor. I try connecting my camera to their computor , try just the card , and try the burned disc. Nothing ! I'm trying to show them the pictures before I crop , or edit them. I'am very new at this as u can tell.

You need a program that recognizes your RAW files to actually see them. If the other computer you're trying to look at the RAW files on doesn't have a program that recognizes Nikon's RAW file format then you won't be able to view them.

Get irfanview. It's a brilliant picture viewing package for a start... simple, easy to use, but a wealth of features when you get into it.

If it's only one other computer you want to view RAW on, then install irfanview on there. If you want to be able to show your stuff on any machine, then irfanview can collate your pictures into a .exe slideshow or can burn it straight to a CD (and, presumably, a DVD (I've not tried)).

Hope this helps.
