How far does PP go towards repairing blurry images ?? I have only ventured into very limited amountsof PP (Picasa) really only auto contrasting and I dont have Photoshop .I have some lightning shots that are blurry and was wondering if there was any saving them . I have attached one of them feel free to play with it and re-post .
Ps Sharpening the image just pixelated it .Im new to all this so sorry for my ignorance !!

generally blurry cant be saved, only raw could make a small difference.
increasing the contrasts could help bring a bt more definition to it tho' (this would also make it a bit more dramatic) what you could do is turn it ito something slightly artistic/abstract using photoshop (which u dont have). otherwise.. i dont see theres much that can be done to save it unfortunatley.

its not all bad news. what i mean is it wont be crisp, but you can disguise the blur a bit.
try boosting contrasts and a tad saturation (soft light or Overlay layer) that would go a long way but it wouldnt be crisp. but hey.. artistic license ![]() i'll see if i can have a go.. (tick-tock tick-tock) ![]() not much better.. some might say its worse.. thats was about a 1 minute attempt.increased hightlights and shadows, reduced mid-tones so the lighter edges if the blur was less visable.

The first thing I would do is place the images on a decent service like Flickr so that it can be downloaded, DPS stored images are not good for editing as the images are compressed.
Then, looking at the image the motion can be taken out by using a Lens toool of some kind. In Photoshop it is easy. But the DPS image because it is already in a bad state will not work well. |
