Well Jim to a great forum.
People here are always will to point you in the right direction or offer good advise. As for the projects? well, pick one and start from there, I don't really think it matters. I have already had a look at some of your images but would like to see more. I would also be interested in what it is you enjoy photographing? So join in and see how you like it, I would also be pleased to add you as a friend as maybe we can always help each other.

welcome here.

The *current* project is the one that's stickied at the top of the Assignments forum, so that is the best place to start (the ones below are all closed and over... though people still post in them just to share).

I'm a beginner and I find the weekly assignments to be very helpful in getting me out of my comfort zone and trying new things!

Welcome HTRD,
I'm new here also. I started by reading all the forums. Including the rules for each one. It really helps you and others in the long run. Check out this weeks assignment and jump right in.
A little tip: If you go to your acct and edit signature, you can add your camera and gear. That will save you from having to type it in everytime someone asks.
Have fun! Everybody alse does!
