Default A good P&S, to carry around?

Any recommendations?

I am wanting to get a rather cheap p&s, for my "pocket camera", but Id like it to be better than my camera on my phone, lol.

Its not that I dont love my dSLR, its just that when I am going places like say a friends house to hang with friends maybe get a little tipsy, the ideal of my camera being in the setting makes me sick.

And yes, as seen in my signature line, I have the Fuji, but its quite the bulk as well, and the flash has to be held up, since the spring broke (months ago).

So anyway with all that said, any good recommendations. Id prefer to stay away from Fuji.. (oh and be under $100)

I have a tiny Nikon--this one: http://www.nikon.ca/en/Product.aspx?m=16658

It's great! Good colour and lots of functionality.

A friend of mine has this Canon and swears by it, especially considering the price. Suggested retail is $130, but Walmart's got it for $120.

You can get an olympus stylus sw for around 150.00, maybe less on e-bay.
The main reason I like the stylus SW for a "bang around" camera is because it is weather and shockproof. I can take it with me anywhere and not worry about it...

Hi:

There are a lot of good cameras out now and with the new ones beginning to go on the market, prices are falling on last years models. One suggestion you might want to consider is to get one that will have the ability to capture RAW.

I received a Sony Cybershot DSC s700 from the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta the year before last. Its 7.2 MegPixals and works great.Pics are great too. I use it when I need a quick shot from the balloon and dont have my DSLR.

I have a Canon Powershot S5 IS...not as cheap as what you are looking for...around $400...BUT Canon makes a lot of cheaper Powershot IS cameras...and they are great!!! I'd go with one of those. Good luck.
