well, its not the safety, I'm concerned about the heat damage. And I'm thinking about a 365 project, so .......

oh my! New cameras are just like new born babies, you have to take utmost care of those, otherwise you'll be branded as a bad parent.

Default No way

Many years ago, I got a job driving a Tractor Trailer. I left my camera in the cab of the truck in Buffalo in the Winter! (NOT TO SMART)

The next day I tried to use it (not thinking I should let it warm up) The shutter broke upon the press of my finger.

The camera was not repairable.

Now from the security standpoint, I suppose that if you put your camera in a concealed place in the car (where no one could see it thru the windows) and you locked your car, then it might be ok.

BUT you gotta THINK about your actions. If you have your camera in the car, and then stop at a store getting out, and then concealing it...(what im getting at here is if people SEE you put the camera in the car) then there is a good chance it would get stolen.
