Makes sense. I just picked up a Lowepro StealthReporter AW400, it's pretty big and depending on how I have it configured I can fit 3 bodies, 4 or 5 lenses, 1 speedlight, spare batteries, caps, etc, some pens, notepads. It can get heavy, but there are days when I use everything in the bag.

As far as the spare body thing, I usually shoot sports with both of my digital bodies, D200 with the long lens and D50 with a wide angle for time outs and crowd stuff. Changing lenses isn't always an option when the time out lasts 30 seconds.

I'd probably do the same if I was covering a sporting event...things are happening so much quicker and sometimes much more difficult to predict action, as opposed to weddings when you can kind of put your self in a position to be fairly sure you are going to time everything ok...
