OK, I'm too lazy to include links but here's my list.

Faststone, for viewing and resizing, cropping, etc.

Gimp, very good PS alternative.

Paint.net, also good PS alternative though not as good as Gimp.

Google Chrome, better than firefox (which always crashes).

Xnview, like faststone but not as good.

Hugin, awesome pano stitcher.

Hmm, I'm sure there is more but I can't think right now.

The only one really is Mogrify plug in. I only do small batches, and would donate, except that LR 3 is coming out soon so I'll be using their watermarking feature there.

Also forgot to mention EOSinfo. Possibly the most helpful freeware for Canon users.
