I use Adium and Firefox as well.
Picasa 3 has come quite a long way from the original Picasa. And the version of The Gimp that I haven't seen mentioned is GimpShop (which is made to look more like photoshop, so it's easier to follow photoshop tutorials). For geotagging by hand on the mac, I like a combination of Geotagger and Google Earth. And for iPhoto, iPhoto Buddy makes it easy to manage multiple libraries. Anyone who's run into problems with large libraries and iPhoto can appreciate that one!

XnView, for viewing (!) and some easy processing.
Polaroid Dust Removal Tool is great too. My 12y-old boy just loves Gimp. ![]() Photoscape and Ript for nice collages. CHDK and DNG for Powershot to take RAW on your Canon Point & Shoot. Noiseware. Many actions for Photohop. Last edited by cristiano007; 12-28-2008 at 09:45 AM. Reason: missing fw |

A definite yes to faststone - it is in my opinion definitely the best photo managing and minor editing tool that I have found (and I have looked a lot). I have shared with with a lot of people and they are all delighted by it.
Also :- openoffice firefox thunderbird For PHotography :- gimp (DEFINITELY) autostich for panoramas qtpfsgui for HDR and I have just discovered a really cool screen saver which shows you your photos or flikr photo! 3D Screensaver or the Photo!3D album Also Photostory3 for putting audio visuals of your photos together, lets you add text, change the transformation of one photo to the next and then add your own music or their music. Thats all for now

I use a lot of free apps, but these are some that I have found to be very useful to me. Plus they haven't been mentioned all that much, if at all.
Colorcop - An indispensable tool if you build web pages or ever have the need to know what color something is. XnView - A fabulous image viewer. Exact Audio Copy Avast Anti-Virus Kerio Personal Firewall CD Burner XP |

I have PS CS4 and Lightroom II, but for resizing, I use Infraview because it takes like 2 seconds to resize a photo. Its about too easy. I also use Photoscape for collages.

I think that's because iTunes isn't freeware. Yeah, it's free to download and use, but it's really nothing more than a glorified storefront. The remaining functions are intended for use with Apple's iPod. So it's not really any different than the software any MP3 player manufacturer might include with their player.

Oh, yeah. I love the GIMP! When I have had students trying to do photo editing for assignments, I always recommend this great software if they don't have / can't afford Photoshop.

I have used AVG Free for several years and it really works Great.
Also I use Google Photos And Window Live Spaces to store photos and documents. Thanks for all the ideas and free stuff. I am looking for a program that will do batch resizing in MS Windows Vista! Any ideas? Thanks...
