EDIT: Did you do anything to the photo before you sent it to me or is straight off the camera?
It is SOOC. I havent done any changes. The only reason I asked about OS is because the way "Properties" window is displayed might be different. Though am not sure if that would make any difference.

@Candleman - I use the PictureProject that came with the camera and installed the codec from Nikon's site so that I can see thumbnails in Vista.
I already sent the .NEF file to Max and he took the pain to try on his side. Unfortunately he was not able to see any exif, whereas I can see the exif.

EDIT: @Candleman - As I mentioned in my original message I dont lose exif when I convert NEF to jpg using PictureProject. It is lost when I open NEF in CS2 and "save as" jpg

Prince, i'm at a loss for words or ideas. I checked the EXIF data before i opened it in CS3 and stopped right there because there was no data. I don't know what to say. I'm sorry.

Try sending me another one and see if that works.

btw, have you run a virus check on your machine? Might be worth a look.

I will try sending another one. Either by tonight before I hit bed or tomorrow after work. I run virus checks, antispyware, etc weekly. Ofcourse nothing is 100% guaranteed. Why do you say that?

Prince,

Have you tried the program Phototime? I haven't tried it myself since it is for PC only and I am a Mac, but I had just read about it in a magazine article. You can download a trial version here so you can try it. I believe the full price is only $14.

Apart from its primary function, which is to correct photos which have an incorrectly set camera time setting, it also has a number of additional functions.

Among these it lists the ability to Restore "For situations where you have modified the photo and in the process lost its metadata. If the original photo is still available, then this can be recovered and used in the new modified version."

Sounds like what you would need to do is to use the original RAW or JPEG to recall the metadata settings within this program.

It claims to allow you to edit blocks of photos, so hopefully would not be too time consuming.
