Talking Photo walk in Amsterdam

Hi folks,

Rain in Amsterdam

The weather is getting pretty bad in my home town, which means that it's a great time to shoot some very interesting night shots! So, who's up for a photo walk through Amsterdam?

Of course, we can start during the day, get some nice food in the city centre, and shoot some more after the sun has gone down.

Post here if you want to join in, and we'll see if we can pick a date.

Being Dutch isn't required!

Not a definite, but I'm certainly going to try...

This sounds like me!

This is the cheapest & most leisurely way to go, with combined train+ferry fares from £29 one-way, £58 return from central London to central Amsterdam or any station in the Netherlands. You take an early morning (06:25) train from London to Harwich, Stena Line's daytime ferry to Hook of Holland, then Dutch trains to Amsterdam, arriving around 18:30. It means an early start from London, not everyone can get into London in time to catch it. Eastbound, it runs Monday-Saturdays only.

Don't worry about a place to sleep - we can stash some people in our comfy home

sime you can get there much easier than that (although not as you say so leisurely!). my stepdoughter lives in Leeuwarden and i get a plane out to amsterdam for about a hundred quid. its worth keeping an eye on the flybe website. it costs a little more than the £58 you quoted but it will give you 2 more days in amsterdam.

I wouldnt mind combining it with a stepdoughter visit. but it all depends on the date (and my wallet!) i dont think i would be able to manage it before christmas.

Default I'll try

I live up north, but will try to get there.
Depending on the time and if I can squeeze it in.
Can't wait to go "japanese" in the Vondelpark
