Hi everyone!
I've been interested in photography for many years but I've only owned point and shoot cameras. It's embarrassing to say, but I've never paid much attention to the finer points and the true artistry behind taking amazing photographs. Both my husband and I have decided to jump into the deep end of the pool and learn as much as we can. As fate would have it, our camera was stolen in September so we figured now was a good time to upgrade to a Canon T3i. It should be here sometime this week so I'm reading manuals and giving myself a crash course on the basics. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and I'm so thankful to have stumbled upon this site! I look forward to chatting with everyone. |

Hi all,
My name is Yasmin. I am just a lady with an eye for shots but I don't understand all options of a camera. I hope I will be able to learn how I should get those great shots that everyone wants. |

Hi all,
Not a photographer by any means but just have a craving for snapping a gorgeous pic. Thought I'd jump on and see what amazing photos people come up with, get some tips and ideas and maybe brave it and share a few. |

Hi,
My name is Joanna Velasco. I actually recently got into photography, well, about a year ago, still recent. I have a huge passion for it, but I cant seem to get it all right. I will do great when I'm inspired, and then I drop down to, well, not so great. When I found this site, it made my day. Thank you so much for this site. I used to live in orange county California, but then my family and i moved down to Mexico. i stopped taking pictures because Mexicans tend have an eye for expensive things. they're also very good at snatching them. and since I'm a 17 year old girl, i cant do much but watch them run away with my Nikon D60. |

Hi everyone, I am Val. I have been interested in photography for a long time, I have always loved beautiful images and have always taken pictures on a press and point basis wherever I have gone. My interest grew and my partner bought me a Canon 550d for my birthday in September and it has opened up a whole new world for me.
There is so much to learn..and I am very enthusiastic about learning. I hope I can gain tips and advice from members of this forum and in time, learn to improve my photography skills. I am very much a beginner but this does not deter me. Everyone was a beginner once. My particular favourite shots that I would be interested in learning more about would be landscapes. Thank you. |

I've always been interested in photography and arts in general. However, I have never actually taken any real steps towards becoming a good photographer. I joined this site to improve my skills and meet other people.

My name is Stacy and I live in Delaware (USA) with my husband, 4 kids, and 2 dogs. I got a Canon EOS camera for Christmas a few years back and have been using the pre-programmed settings ever since. I took a local photography 'class' that met weekly for an hour for about 7 weeks and walked away more confused than when I joined.
My main goal is to learn how to take photographs using the manual settings and get clear, crisp photos doing so. I botch most of what I take in manual mode, so StillLearning seemed to be the most appropriate username. I'll be reading a lot and will not really have anything to offer as advice since I don't know much, if anything.

Hi, my name is Rob. I love landscape photography but I also have a passion for Portrait and Wedding Photography. I live in Sheffield, England and have the beautiful great outdoors on my doorstep in the form of the Peak District National Park.
I'm looking forward to sharing photos with like minded people.
