Hi to you all,
I am Eddy Van Meerbeeck, living in the region of Antwerp (Belgium). Since 1977 I have been using a Canon AT-1 film camera with a 50mm prime and added later a 70-200mm zoom lens. This camera is completely manual (except for TTL metering), but it never failed me and have been using it until last year with great results. Recently I purchased an Olympus E-400 with 14-42mm and 40-150mm zoom and am experimenting. Happy to have discovered this site and looking forward to coming back frequently and post pictures and replies. Kind regards, Dolphin |

Hi everyone
i am from Sheffield UK, I bought fuji 6500FD. A bridge camera which i think suits as i think i not yet ready to handle DSLR yet. I would like to learn more on the proper technique of photography. Just came across this website today and was thinking "I should have found this website long time ago!" It has lots of useful technique and the member here is very helpful and friendly. Will definately stick to this forum a long long time. thanks Alan |

I'm Jen, in Austin, TX. I have a lovely daughter (soon to be age 10), and a psychotic cat (about 3). I've been interested in photography for a while, and my mom is an amateur photographer.
My first digital camera (several years ago) was an Olympus Camedia 450Z (which stayed with my Ex). After that, I graduated to a Kodak DC4800 and a Nikon Coolpix 3200 (gift) Up until a few weeks ago, I was primarily using the Kodak DC4800 to take pictures with, as the Nikon has HORRIBLE shutter lag. For the last few months, I've been wanting to do more and get more out of my photography, so I've been pushing the poor, old camera to it's limits, and getting frustrated with the results. About 2 weeks ago, while I was on vacation, borrowed my best friend's Olympus E-300, to play with, and started being amazed with some of the pictures I was getting. But I also know I have a lot of work to do; I have several habits I need to break (like placing my subject in the center of the photograph), and several things I need to work on (I love manual focus, but seem to have some problems focusing exactly on what I'm trying to focus on), so I started seeking out forums & blogs to help with the learning experience. If you'd like to take a gander: My photos are hiding over here. Right now, Wild Basin, Mayfield Preserve, Bull Creek (Upper & Lower), and St. Edwards Park are the ones I took with the DSLR.
