Hi, my name is Chris and I have a problem.... Oh wait wrong forum. Let's see, I'm 31 and from Indianapolis, IN. In the past, I have had a few friends come to me critique their photographs. So when I had the chance to take an intro to digital imaging class I jumped. First few assignments I used a POS and decided that wasn't good enough for me even though they were good enough shots to get 100's on. I dove head first into DSLR with a Nikon D5000 with 18-55mm and 55-200mm kit lenses. Since then I've bought a Nikon AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D and a Nikon - 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR Telephoto Lens.
I'm looking forward to sharing my shots here as well as learning new techniques. As always feel free to critique my shots! Chris |

Hello
I am Liz. I am 22 years old and from Canada. I have enjoyed photography as a hobby for about 2 years now, so I am still quite new to this. I currently am using the Fuji Finepix JV100 Point and Shoot. I am saving up to get an SLR. Very excited to get one eventually. I enjoy photography because I like the way pictures can tell a story, and move people in many ways. Anywho, its going to fun learning all this stuff, and getting some feedback. See you on the forums

Hey all. New to photography. Purchased a Nikon D3000 with a 18-55 non-VR lens in April. Enjoy shooting people, especially my wife and newborn, beaches, sunsets, storms, and anything that just seems interesting. Trying to figure out much of the lingo, such as f1/8 and why 1/4 is better than 1/8, where to find good cheap lenses, and so on.
I read the little guide that came with the Nikon package, but didn't get much out of that. On a very limited budget. Any free e-books or guides I can read online or download or so would be also be very appreciate. Looking forward to learning how to take better portraits, images, landscape photos, so, thanking all in advance. Thanks all.

Hi, I'm Zoot, so called because I play the tenor sax. I'm very much into photography and use an Olympus E-500 with the "kit" lenses, 17.5 - 45mm and 40-150mm, plus I splashed out and bought a rather awesome 70-300mm. There are a few more lenses to collect, but these will do me for now. I also bought a wide-angle lens and a macro lens kit, and have an Olympus C5050Z which I occasionally use as a backup

Hi all,
my name is Ian. I've been interested in photography for a long while and finally lashed out and got a DSLR and a few nice lenses. Apparently its true what they say, photography is mostly about the skill of the photographer, so now I'm trying to learn to use all my nice kit as apparently it doesn't turn you instantly into an awesome picture taker. Looking forward to seeing all of your fantastic work and learning alot. Regards Ian |

Hi I am Justin. I actually got interested in photography while in the Marines back in the early 90's. My home was burglarized and they made off with a Pentax P&S and a K1000. Fast forward to 2007 I caught the bug again with a Nikon D40. Along with the stock lens I use a Nikkor 55-200, and a sigma 17-70 macro lens
