Smile Very Nervous

Hi, I've just joined DPS - love the site and am very nervous because I don't know anything - just learning and playing with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-F27. Reading and looking at pictures - learning learning learning.

Hello everybody, another new guy here. I'm from Germany (thus english not being my first language - bear with me) and I've been fascinated by photography for most of my life. Until recently I never got beyond the point & shoot phase, but I've been always quite crazy at that (my ex used to say that I spent most of our holidays behind the camera instead with her). During most of that time I used my trusty Kodak DC3400 (2 megapixels) and I loved. Now I made the switch to a more serious cam and I'm trying to get an idea of all the new possibilities.

Thorsten, Welcome

The "P" in DPS could just as well stand for Possibilities, with such variety of equipment, subjects, techniques, composition, and edit processes. If you can imagine it, someone here has probably done it! Or you can be the first!

Hello, my name is Mary. I am new here as well. I've been doing like most everyone else has been, reading and enjoying some spectacular pics.
I have always loved photography but never really took the time to learn the basics. I just purchased a Canon XTi and I am learning everything I can. I am so happy to have been told about DPS from a friend. You guys are amazing with all of the advice and tips you give, so thank you and I am looking forward to learning.

I'm Han, I'm a student and photography is a little hobby of mine. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. um, I use a canon EOS 350D hes lovely My photoblog is http://www.apricot13.org. My backgrounds more in photomanipulation that photography but I found it transferred nicely. By photo manipulation I mean this sort of thing.
