Hello,
I live in Massachusetts. I'm 17, and very amateur.
I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7, I plan on getting a new camera soon, though. I've been very into photography for a while now, and I plan on putting up some of my finer pictures for critism, I need all the adivce I can get. I usually do nature shots, but lately I've been doing a lot of portraits, and I've done some work with a few local bands as well.
Reading all the articles on this site has taught me a lot of great things, so glad I stumbled across this site.

Hi I'm Fourth Roxas from the Philippines. I am a newbie with photography and I simply want to learn the basics and hopefully do good with it. Currently I'm using a point and shoot camera from Canon and planning to buy my 1st dslr this week and its quite a decision to make...I am looking forward to learn and eventually share my ideas with this forum. Thanks!

Hello all,

I'm a photographer of some twenty years, on and off experience and currently live in Tasmania. I'm a 'Pom' and will be heading back to the UK in 2010 to reconnect my two daughters with their extended family.

As a film photographer I was primarily an Olympus OM series user though dabbled with other cameras such as the Lubitel TLR out of Russia (hideous build quality but cheap as chips and made me great returns) and a favourite I still own and use; a Konica C35 rangefinder, my poor man's Leica!

Like everyone I mostly shoot digital now. I switched around the D70s / 350D period and chose the Nikon primarily for ergonomics; I found the Canon too small. So I'm in the Nikon camp now. I like to keep things pretty simple and shoot mostly with the 35mm f2 and 50mm f1.8.

cheers
Alex

Hello everyone! What a great site I stumbled onto here!

I have spent the last 2 days reading a bunch of things on here! I can forsee that I will learn a bunch from the many many talented people here.

I am just now starting to get into taking better quality pictures with a good camera. I have a d90 on order... but until then I can still use my Samsung Point and Shoot!

I am eager to learn more everyday as I have a 1 month old daughter and I want to be able to take some amazing pictures of her to have forever!

Hi,

I am new here and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tom and I have been involved in photography (nothing serious, just "snap-shots") for many years. I started off with a Pentax K1000 film camera back in the late '70's, now, a couple of years ago, purchased a Pentax K100D Super. I have not used it very much, not sure how to get the "best" out of this camera. I am looking to learn as much as possible about how to take "good" pictures with this camera. I am mainly interested in landscapes and nature photography. Any information/suggestion that any of you might have in regards to how I can take better photo's would be a great help!!

Thank you,

Tom
