Default Self Intro

My name is Jack Casner; I live in the Kansas City, Missouri area. My photo interest goes back to elementary school. I joined the Navy out of high school and was a photographer second class when discharged. I have owned/used a variety of cameras: Speed Graphic, Exakta, Rollei, Leica, Nikon, Canon, Contax, Hasselblad, Minolta, Bronica and Pentax. I have been using digital cameras for about ten years. My current digital is an Alpha 900. My kit includes a variety of lenses, ranging from Sony/Zeiss to an old Minolta beercan. I haven't stopped shooting film entirely and I think that the new Kodak Ektar is really something. My film gear includes an old Bronica SQ Ai with 50-100 Zenzanon zoom and a Zenzanon 150mm. I also own an old Minolta SR-7 and an SRT 101. I may buy a used Mamiya RZ67 sometime in the near future. Here is a link to my Pbase galleries. Jack Casner's Photo Galleries at pbase.com I'm looking forward to exchanging information and ideas about photography.

hello to all you trigger happy people.
I live in Sydney-Australia..
One of my favourite places to go on holiday is Croatia..
what i love about photography is
the memories we create,
the photo with my mate,
that shot "o no, too late"
or something that I ate.
maybe it was fate,
or just plain great.
Say "cheeeeeese...."[/COLOR]

Smile Greetings from Michigan

My name is Littlethunder, a name a Indian chief gave me years ago. Actual my name is David.

I use to be into photography big back in the mid 1970. I carried around three 35mm Cannon cameras (one fore slldes, one B&W film and the other for regular print.) That was until the ex got everything. (Yes I had a professional mentor at one time.)

Now I am disabled and presently using a Nikon S220 Coolpix camera after doing my homework. Mostly I do auato shows such as the one in Detroit, and the Woodward Dream Cruise. But I also like doing nature shots when I am able to get out and about

Have a good day and keep on shooting those shots.

Default new to the site

Hi,

I'm Sydney, a SAHM to a soon to be three year old boy. I have loved photography for many years but have just recently started getting more serious about learning. My favorite things to photograph are my son and flowers. I also love landscapes but I don't get out much to do that. I also love low light photography and one day hope to have a camera that does excellently in that category. Right now I have a CAnon XTI with 18-55mm, 50mm 1.8, and a recently acquired 55-250mm zoom.

looking forward to seeing others work and learning from them.

Default Hello there...

My name is Jeff and I am from Sacramento, California. I am very new to photography. I use a film SLR that I bought three years ago and never used but I have learned a lot from this site. I feel very inspired and can't wait to use my new knowledge on my trip to Lassen National Park in a few days.

Default Hello.

My name is Chan, and I live in North Carolina, U.S. I am a teacher at a military leadership school, and working on my masters degree in Education Management. My passion is for missionary work in Haiti, and I would love to someday be involved in setting up and managing a junior college/vocational school there.

I am fairly new to photography, but have spent a few years tagging along behind my husband who is much more experienced at it than I am. I recently inherited his Canon Rebel XT, and have a newfound interest in wildlife photography. I really have the most fun with post-work, I use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2.

My Flickr doesn't have a lot of shots on it yet, but it's growing

My name's Ana and I have just recently become more interested in photography. I acquired my first DSLR a couple of months ago and ever since I've wanted to improve little by little. So far everything I know has been self-taught through online courses and articles from sites like these, so I figured it'd be a good idea to become "active" in these forums. So I'm looking forward to exchanging ideas and learning from others.

Default Hi!

Hey all,

My name is Ian. Currently, I'm a computer programmer in Milwaukee, WI. I'm originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago so you can expect many of my pictures to be of the Chicago/Milwaukee region.

How did I get into photography? It really started last August when I bought my first SLR, a Sony a200. I was getting married and wanted a nice camera for my honeymoon in St. Lucia. I also go to many sporting events and always wanted to take pictures a point and shoot just couldn't take.

Nearly a year later and I'm always taking pictures and reading about photo tips online. Shortly after buying the a200 I realized how much I needed a zoom for sporting events and bought a Sony DT 18-250mm as my main lens. I'm looking at getting a 55mm fixed focal length lens next to aid in portrait shots and eventually I'll get a macro lens as I've always had a love of the close up shots.

I also recently started a simple photoblog called 52sdays. Basically, I choose my favorite photo from each week and post it on Tuesdays. I've found it's simple yet effective way of always wanting to take new pictures and can't wait to look back over the year and reflect upon the pictures I've taken.

I look forward to posting pictures for critique and enjoying everyone else's submitted work. Love the site! Thanks for having me!
