Hi, I am Keya. I am a graphic designer. I have been interested in photography since childhood. But in 2006 i bought a DSLR with my own money and have been shooting since. I like people, birds n abstract photography. I use Nikon D50 with kit lens, Nikkor 70-300G, nikkor 50mm f1.8D, Canon 570IS, Nokia N73.
I like this site. I get good tips about photography here.

Hi,

I live in Belgium, and have just registered with DPS today. I was browsing the web, looking for some information about canon, and DPS seems the right place for this subject. .

At this moment i use a Sony DSC-F828 but i want to buy a DSLR-Type camera. Before my Sony i had a canon AE1-program. I am not only busy with photography, but my interest is growing, and i hope to learn a great deal on this site.

Took me a bit to find this but..

I'm Meghan and i live in Wisconsin. i had been getting the newsletters for a while before actually joining this site but i am so glad i did. Everyone is so great and so helpful. I got into photography about 6 years ago and ive come a long way and still have a long way to go. I am obsessive about learning more and have checked out every related book our very extensive library has available.

I currently own a Canon Powershot S3. and while it kind of is suiting my needs my dream camera ( the one actually almost in my price range is the Canon Xsi, I'm a canon girl all the way). Someday....

Looking forward to learning and having fun with you all.

Hi everyone,

My name is Thomas Amarello.
I'm from the Netherlands. Last year (2008) photography caught my attention. In the search of information on several topics in photography I got a link from a friend. I've got to say that I'm happy with this site, for it gives the right amount of information for newbies and experienced peopleout there. Thumbs up!!!

Sincerely yours,
Thomas

Hello Folks!

My name is Roman France.
I'm seventeen years old and will be attending the School of Visual Arts in September. I actually just started doing stills photography. My first passion is actually writing/directing. I am a filmmaker. After purchasing a Canon HF10 I realized that I spent a boat load of my time taking stills. I have yet to invest in a DSLR of my own but several of my friends own one so I've had my fair share of practice. I hope I could use this site to network with other photographers and learn ways to improve my photography.

Cheers!

I am Marlene and I am an office manager and co-owner of Wallaby Bobs. I live on Kangaroo Island and have enjoyed point and shoot photography for many years. On our most recent trip overseas in 2007 my husband bought me a Sanyo Digital Movie Camera which takes both movies and stills. Now I am ready to learn to do more than just point and shoot and intend to explore all the options available on my camera as a first step.

Kind regards, MarleneC

Hello, Im Natalie and Im 22. Ive always had a love of photography and enjoyed capturing moments with my digital camera. I was made redundant in January this year and have been struggling to find work due to the current economic climate! Id train in childcare and had grown to hate it since having my son! So I was looking to get into something else and eventually thought about putting a hobby and passion to some proper use and get into photography professionally so took the step of buying a digital SLR!

I have a Canon EOS 1000D with an 18-55mm lens, I also have a 55-200mm Tamron lens.

I am currently taking a Photography Institute Course.

Default Yet another Newbie

Hello Everyone

I am from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I have recently purchased a Canon Rebel XSI (EOS 450D). I have a few lenses, and am looking to purchase a couple more. I simply love my camera, and want to learn how to take better photos. I hope that this is one of the places to learn how to get better shots.

Cool New to it all

Hi everyone...

Not to sound too corny but I am really excited. I just upgraded from a point and shoot to a Nikon D60 and am anxious to learn.

I own my own website design firm and dove in since a few clients needed me to take pictures. Don't get me wrong I have always loved photography but now I have an occupational reason to take the time to learn it...

I currently only have the standard 55mm that comes with the camera and a few filters that I bought. I have a macro and zoom lens in my wish list at amazon.

I don't really know what else to add except that I am excited to learn and can't wait to get in on an assignment or two.

ooh look, there's a place to introduce ourselves. Sorry for going about this all the wrong way around and posting photos first

I live in London and I have owned a camera (well a decent camera as opposed to a strictly point-and-shoot model) Panasonix Lumix LX3 for almost 3 weeks now. I'm really loving it and its great to have a place to share this excitement with other likeminded people.

Already just by reading forums and the beginner articles on DPS I've learned a lot, but I have the feeling this is the kind of hobby in which there is always area for imporvement.

Looking forward to seeing you all around the forums
