Default Hi all

I'm Gaz a forty-something layabout living in the north-west of England.

Had my Lumix DMC-LX2 for a couple of years and carry it at all times in the hope of catching a 'moment'.
Was given the 300D as a hand-me-down a few months ago and battled to understand it ever since
Been lurking here for a while soaking up all the advice I can find and hope to participate in the forum when I feel worthy

My aim is to one day produce the same quality of photo that you guys clearly attain, yeah I've a long road ahead of me...

My name is Frances.
I have been dabbling in photography for a while, but not seriously. I wanted to be a model when I was younger, but now I realize I enjoy taking the photographs much more than I enjoy being in them.
I am currently using an older (5 or 6 years) Cannon point and shoot and my dad's old film SLR from the 80's.

I'm hoping to display some of my photos and pick up a few tips while I'm here. I don't anticipate any kind of photography career, it's just a hobby.

fell free to stop by my flickr page (below) or if reading is more your style, you can check out my blog .

Default Introduction

Hi, I'm Tami Gramont.

I've been shooting since 2006, been a student of Photoshop for years and am now transitioning into a business. My constant study of photography, light and post editing has begun to pay off.

Talking Wanting to learn.....

Hi, I'm Bob.

I have been a casual photographer for a number of years now and have recently decided that I need to 'figure out' what I'm doing. I have a couple of DSLRs and a Canon A80 P&S. I've been reading the manuals for my cameras and have started learning just what all of the bells and whistles are on both camera bodies. It's an interesting process, re-learning photography with a camera that can do more in the field than many amateurs can accomplish in a traditional darkroom.

I've gotten the newsletter from Darren for a couple of months now, but my new resolution is to post an image for the digital photography assignments at least twice a month. We'll see how that goes, huh?

Anyway, nice to be here.

Hello

My name is Katee, I'm 27 years old and I live in Brighton, England.

I've had a keen interest in photography for as long as I can remember. I got my first camera at 10 years old

I did photography GCSE then studied it a bit more when I did a college diploma in media which I finished 7 years ago. Since then I've mainly worked in retail but at the end of last year made the decision to do something that I love, so I've enrolled in college for September to do another photography course which I'm hoping will lead to me doing a degree.

I'm spending the summer studying and getting to grips with my Canon EOS 450d which I got a couple of months ago.

So anyway.... hi!!

Hi I'm Jane from Ireland. I'm a 21 year old sales assistant, soon to be student again. I'm a complete newbie to digital photography but have done a bit of manual and developing.
I'm a keen rock climber and would love to get better at shooting action shots. I have a snazzy point and shoot samsung wb500 but am seriously missing having a nice focus ring.
Hoping to get the hang of this digital stuff soon...
