My name is Demorrius Sims and I'm currently 18 years old and preparing to graduate high school. I've been working with photography for nearly a year now and I think I've been doing pretty well so far. I've joined this site to learn much more about the capabilities of my camera, especially in the manual modes. I've read quite a few articles already, and everything seems so simple now
. I'll continue reading through the index, though, and see what else I can learn. Next year I plan on attending the Savannah College of Art and Design, where hopefully I will be able to minor in Photography. If anyone is interested, here is my website (where you can view my favorite photographs that I've taken):http://lostvalley-photography.com/ I have been working with Photoshop and graphic design for a few years, with photography being a more recent venture. Anyway, that's about it .

Well I'm new to photography but I've been taking pictures since I was 10. I have never really gone any farther in my thought process than just taking pictures to freeze time. Most of my photos were taken for scrapbooking purposes. I got tired of not getting good shots of school programs with my kids and their sporting events so I studied up on cameras a little bit and decided to go get a Canon Rebel XTi. Now that I have a camera that can actually do some cool things I want to use it for that! So... DPS here I come and I'm ready to learn! Oh and I have two lenses: an 18-55mm and a 75-300mm.

Hello! I'm from Spain and I've been photographing with my Point & Shoot for two years (places, friends and such), but had never taken photography too seriously until some months ago when I decided to buy a dSLR camera. A couple of weeks ago I bought one (a second-hand Nikon d50 on eBay which was quite cheap) and I'm enjoying it a lot, though I don't know how to properly use it yet, but I enjoy learning as well -and that's why I'm here!

Hello, my name is Ray, I am fairly new to the digital world of photography, I had a Nikon D40 until it was stolen, I mainly left it in the Auto mode and just let the camera do all the work. I have been looking and reading on what to buy for about a year now and ended up with the Nikon D700. This is quite a camera for someone of my very limited knowledge of digital picture taking. But I am willing to put alot of time and effort in learning how to take awesome pics and I am sure many bad ones too.
So any help and info for a guy with more money than brains, I am here to learn and make my mistakes like a lot of other people. My lenses are a 20-35mm f2.8,,, 300mm f4 af-s,,,105mm micro f2.8,,,60mm micro f2.8,,70-210mm af f4 and a 50mm 1.8 that I bought with the camera. I am very happy with all the lenses for far, I use my 20-35 and 300 most of the time, I do like the 70-210mm because of its light weight compared to the other two. As long as I have plenty of light it makes for a great walking around lens. So this is where I am at at this time. Any help or advice will be appreciated.... Nice to meet all of you...... |
