I just wanted to say hello to everybody. I'm new to this forum. I'm also new to the digital photograhy world. I love shooting, but i still use a point-and-shoot camera, Kodak dx7440. I hope to learn new things from dps members about my hobby, that is why i'm here.

Hi,
I am BingoBob, from Canada eh! I have entered the world of digital photography via Canon's S1 IS an and currently thinking very seriously about stepping up to the DSLR world via Canon's Rebel XTI!! I really dig shooting; 01. Landscapes 02. Wildlife 03. Macro *which I have never really attempted to date* Any input regarding cams/lenses for this slr rookie would be greatfully appreciated! hi all, my name is samm. i actually have no idea how i found this site, maybe it was the self portrait challenge blog??? anyway, point is i did find you and i can't tell you how happy i am!! my husband is the reason i started taking a more "professional" view of my photography. he completed a photography diploma a couple of years ago and after dragging around to numerous photoshoots, i decided it was easier just to join in the fun! so, i primarily use my photography within my mixed media work, am teaching myself to get around photoshop, and try to pick up ideas and skills from my hubby.
i use a konika minolta 5d and have a little pentax optio for snaps - but i am weaning myself off the habit of grabbing the pentax "cos it's easier"!! you can see some of my photos on my blog and i have a flickr account where i upload when i think of it!! anyway, great to be here and i look forward to actively participating in challenges etc. cheers samm |

Hey, my name is Trevor. Im 22 and originally from Vancouver but I am currently living and working in London UK on a work visa. I have just bought my first dSLR, a Canon 400D with a kit lense and I also purchased a Sigma 10-20mm. I love photography and I love DPS, it has helped me a lot over the last month and will continue to help me in the future.
Nice to meet you all. Please take a look at my flickr site if you like and drop a comment or two. Cheers Trevor

Well seeing as I have posted a couple of times, I thought that it was only right that I introduced myself.
My name is Terry. I am a retired Firefighter/Lieutenant. I got into photography through the fire service. And by no means consider myself a professional. My first camera was a SLR-Nikon EM. My next camera was my first digital and it was a Sony Mavica. Now I have moved up to what is, I think the best of both worlds DSLR. It is a D40 Nikon with the 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm. Thanks Stay Safe
