Default Hello from Lisa

Hi everyone, my name is Lisa and I live in North Carolina. Photography has always been a passion of mine. I started taking my photography seriously when I purchased my Canon Digital Rebel XTi in September of 2006. One of my goals was to have my work published. I currently do assignments for 3 magazines in my area. I want to get more individual clients now, I've had a couple. Horses have to be my most favorite to photograph. Love photographing nature, sunsets, waterfalls and many other subjects as well. I have only taken one online 4 week course on exposure. Outdoor photography is were I do my best work. Indoors I struggle with the lighting. I hope to learn alot from all the other photographers on this site.

I would be interested in knowing if there are other photographers who live in North Carolina on this site.

Lisa

Hi There,

I'm a complete newbie to photography!!

I love taking pictures at family gatherings but am ready to take it to the next level and want to invest in a dSLR.

I've been doing some research and didn't realise how much is involved!! I think this forum will definitely be a great source of information for me.

I live in London, UK so if there's any photographers on here looking for an apprentice, please let me know!!

Red face I'm Fiona from South Africa

I live in Cape Town, am 37 years old and married without kids ... I have been interested in photography for a long time, but never took up the challenge until recently. I began a 9 week DSLR course with the Cape Town School of Photography, learning everything to do with Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, panning and the rest. Have done 5 of the 9 lectures so far. I have a Canon EOS 40D which my husband bought me in December last year and am so relieved to finally get to know how to take photos without just pointing and shooting.
I have a problem though ... our assignment for the next 2 weeks is PHOTO STORIES and we need to take 8 shots which kind of tell a story. Currently I have 'photographers block' and was hoping that somebody could give me some inspiration ... HELP!!!!
Hope to hear from somebody soon.
Fiona

Default Newbie Photographer here

Hello everyone. I have been interested in photography for awhile now but until recently had not taken any steps to learn more. I own a Nikon D40 and that has motivated me to learn all that my camera is capable of doing. I have been browsing around the forums and articles and I'm already learning a lot. I hope to keep learning and get really good at this so I can take some really great pictures.

BTW, Lisawv I am also from NC. I live in the Charlotte area. you didn't say where you were located but if close to Charlotte I'd love to connect with you.

Hallo,
I'm Felipe, I live in Brazil and I don't actually own a camera yet. :P
I've taken photos with my parents' rubbish point-and-click (lookie! http://tkf15h.aminus3.com) and the DPS blog has made me long for a decent camera. Time to make a thread bugging you all with my questions. Oh so many questions!

Hi everyone.

Before, I used to take pictures of the 'usual'...beach snapshots, building snapshots, plant snapshots (you should get what I mean by snapshots). I started to do some architectural photography because of my job in construction, and this has made me like the subject so much that I've decided to pay even more attention to photography.

Of course I also found DPS, and I'm so glad for it.

I'm Jovan and I live in the Caribbean. I've yet to attain the funds to purchase a DSLR but when I can do so, trust me, the madness will continue!!!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Marcal (actually it's Marçal, but I know the ç is not in evey keyboard). I'm from Barcelona and I've been always interested in photography but, due to its inherent cost, I've never got the chance to start with. Finally I've bought myself some photo equipment and I'm spending quite a lot of time in reading all what it comes to my hands (basically photography and PS training books).

Ok, guys, see you around !
