Another noob here! I just stumbled on this site today whilst looking for some pointers on composition.

As for a bit about myself, I'm 27, married, with a one year old son and another one on the way (not sure yet if it's pink or blue).

Currently I have a Panasonic Lumix fz-30, but I'm hoping to replace it with a Canon 30D any time. If PMA turns out well and there's a nice shiny 40D then the 30D will hopefully come down a bit in $$. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.

Well I'm glad to have joined here and I hope I can actually contribute something, although in all likelyhood I'll be the annoying guy who keeps asking things like "how does the 1D mkII N compare to the 5D?" and forgetting to search.

bindibadgi,

How does the 1D mkII N compare to the 5D? I heard it tastes just like chicken.

Default Greetings

Hi, I have followed Digital Photography School for some time and contributed on occassion. I started out taking digital pics with an Olympus 1.3 megapixal camera back in 2000 then progressed to a Fuji with 6x zoom, then I inherited a Kodak with 10x zoom. I love zoom. But then I recently got a new Canon sd600 which I can take everywhere and it is fasst! At work I use a Canon A510 but it is slow to recharge. My Flickr page is under arobin.

Hi everyone! I'm TORN from the Philippines and I have been a subscriber of DPS-Blog early this year (which have been so interesting!) and a new member of DPS-Forum which appears to be soooo exciting!

I have been using HP Photosmart Digicam R817 for almost a year, until I acquired a new Panasonic FZ7 this January. I joined this group to explore the functions of my new cam (as I was not able to do so in my old cam), get tips, new ideas and inspiration to further hone my craft and interest in photography.

You may wish to see some of my shots in my PERSONAL SITE. Big Thanks!!!

Hi all! I'm Angela from Victoria in Australia. I've got a canon 350D which I love... not the best lenses but hoping to upgrade in the very near future.
I found this site after searching for answers to why I keep getting candle reflections in my birthday shots... lol, couldn't find the answer though ..

Great to be here, and hoping to learn a heap!

Default Hi

Hi everyone,
I'm Jeannine, live in Maine, married, no children. I love taking photos, though not all that good, I still snap away ! My current equipment, a Konica Minolta Dimage Z6. I've had this camera for about a year and a half. Mostly use the auto mode but have been experimenting with some of the manual settings. I do not have any kind of photography education under my belt, but if it runs in the blood (which I hope it does), my grandfather was a professional photographer...unfortunately...he passed away long before I was born so I was not able to learn from him...but maybe his spirit will guide me on this passion of mine! Here's an old picture of him with his "camera car"...no one knows what happened to that car

Daigneault's Camera Car

Anywho, my niece-in-law, who is very much into photography, was kind enough to hook me up with y'all . Looking forward to learning and sharing!
Peace,
Jeannine

Hello all, my name is Victoria and I'm new to the forums. I've owned a Cannon A610 for a while now, and I take a ton of pictures, and I'm slowly getting better and better at photography. I've trolled around on other photography forums looking for advice and constructive critique, and all I've gotten is snubs at my piddly point-and-shoot. Honestly I've never heard "that is a nice snapshot" used in such a demeaning way. However, the mood of this forum seems so much more positive, and I've already learned a few things. I'm really looking forward to posting some of my shots and really improving on my skills.

A bit about myself- I'm a student at Arizona State University. I just switched my major to anthropology. I'm really into cars, astronomy, horseback riding, hiking, pretty much anything that takes me outdoors and gives me the opportunity to get some nice photographs.

See y'all around the forums
