Hi my name is Nick Nieto, I live in Portland, Oregon and I'm a business student at the University of Portland. I am fairly new to photography and can't wait to learn more! I play Golf for UP and that is one of the things that got me into photography, going around the country I wanted a way to remember all the places I visit! Now I just purchased my first DSLR and am loving every minute of it!!!!

Hi! I'm Ross from northern Georgia(above Atlanta). I'm an intern in a school system It department.
I recently received a D50 as a gift and am loving every minute of it. Use to do film before(nothing to serious, never went to darkroom stage), so trying to get the hang of digital now. So I decided to join up here to help ease the learning curve. |

Hi my name is Christine and I live in Sioux Falls, SD. I have always enjoyed taking pictures of my children as they were growing up and this past summer bought my first digital camera. It is a Kodak EasyShare Z650...I know it is really not what most people would choose but for my first one I don't think it is too bad.
I would much rather take pictures of things like flowers, trees and grass as the pictures I do tend to take of people are not all that great. I look forward to learning as much as I can about digital photography. My goal is to someday take pictures that I would be proud to hang on the walls in my house. Thanks

Hello, I'm Nic. I got my first (decent) camera a couple months ago and have grown to love photography.
I live in jersey (channel islands UK) which is rather good for landscape photography as we are surrounded by beaches. And also have a load of WW2 bunkers which can be wuite photogenic.... I came here because it looks like a rather good place for me to develop my skills (I would like to improve my abstract photography the most) I like to do a lot of long exposure shots of random lights i have (which can be found in my gallery here. I think some things of it are ok. Others are not...hehe. I also like to take pictures of flowers and other nature. Right that is a bit about me I hope to speak to you all soon.

Hello Everyone!
My name is Laura. I am 23. An Air Force wife to my husband Adam for going on 4 years. And a mommy of 2 kids. Mackenzie is 3 and Nicholas is 1. I have always had a passion for taking pictures. Since becoming a mother, that passion has grown. I try my best to capture every precious moment of my kids lives. I started taking pictures with a cheap HP 3MP camera. It wasn't the greatest by any means, but it got the job done. Before I discovered the world of digital SLR, I upgraded my camera to a Nikon Coolpix 5600. 5MP were better than 3, and the pictures came out fantastic! I loved having that small point and shoot! My camera came with me EVERYWHERE! But, eventually the delay got to me and I wanted something more. I wanted to be able to control the way my pictures came out. That is when I discovered DSLR's. I was amazed! And I drooled for a rebel XT for well over a year! Finally my husband made my dream come true and he told me to order the camera I wanted!! You have no idea just how extatic I was! So, just this past Friday, my Canon Digital Rebel XTi arrived on my doorstep with all the goodies! It is now Monday and I have already shot well over 400 pictures! (When you have kids, it is easy to get lost in taking pictures!). I have been trying to learn so much, but i am still a little lost. So, I hope to learn all I can here!!!
