Hello from me as well. My actual name is George and I am from Greece. I've been interested in photography for some time, but never got to try it (too expensive?) until recently when I bought my FZ18. Still a long way to go, but I read a lot
and have already learned much from this forum.

Hello all as the first post i think its always good to introduce yourself so...
I'm Dean Godden aged 40 not 13 as my nickname would suggest (its my lucky number).
I live in Nottinghamshire UK with my partner of 19 years and two sons 6 and 9 years.

I have just graduated to digital by buying a Canon EOS 400D my old film SLR is a Canon EOS 500 sadly i stopped using film a few years ago as i couldn't afford the film/processing at the time and i "lent" my two good usm lenses out permanently so i need to go shopping.

I need work in all areas of my photography but im always interested in learning new things and can take criticism as long as it furthers my knowledge and technique. I enjoy taking pictures of all types and hope i can learn enough to enjoy taking "photographs" instead of snaps if you can get my meaning.

I've been here for a while (1+ months). I finally decided that I would introduce myself. I'm a kind of secure person, so I won't give out any of my personal information besides the fact that I live in Minnesota and I'm not as old as you may think.

Anyways, I've had my Canon Rebel XTi for a while now, maybe 2/3 of a year now. So far, I like photography. It gives me something to do, and I can brag to my friends about how good my pictures are ().

I have been in the photography industry for over 30 yrs nowto start here. One thing I have always done and enjoyed is photography, it has been a career that was like taking a breath it just seemed to flow. If a question can answered for anyone I am willing to make the effort to assist in anyway possible. The work experience I have is in industrial /commercial ,portrait, product, landscape & engineering photography. I have also been doing digital work for last 10 yrs also I felt the transfer over from film to digital was nessesary in this age. Upon making this switch I found my reliance on labs/ techs/ artists was no longer required as I could do everything directly on either my PC / Mac computer. Hopefully I will be able to assist some here as its always good to keep myself grounded with helping and watching others learn this art and grow in it also. Hello everyone,

My name is Swapnil Sarwe. I am from Mumbai, INDIA. I am fascinated by photography for last 2 years but was only able to own a digicam from last month. I own Canon A720IS and plan to buy a DSLR in mid next year.

I am lucky enough to have a friends who are very well interested and fascinated by photography so much that even if we as a group have a single camera, we all [4-5 friends] accompany everywhere to click photographs on weekends.

Our main goal of photography is the perception, we try to go on to look things in a different way which most of the times dont click but we are developing ourselves day by day everyday.

Also our second goal is to learn some manual stuff with digicams so that we can take our creativity to the next level.

I already learnt a loads of stuff by reading blogs and other forum entries. Hope to be able to grow myself as a better photographer and a better person and also would like to contribute in every possible way. And yeh will love to share some of our stuff with you all together.

my name is Shontae. Im 29 years old. Mother of three girls, wife, cosmetology student, novice photographer. New Jersey resident.
I just recently got into taking pictures seriously after someone told me I have "an eye". So my husband bought me a new camera. I was using a Kodak digital. I just received a NikonD40 a week ago so Im still getting the hang of all the settings and their different uses.
I look forward to learning how to improve my photography "sight" and learn the jargon (because I'm sooo lost right now lol).

Hello everyone. I'm Lindsay, and new to the forum and the site. I've wanted to be a photographer for years, and currently work with a Nikon D100, because I love it, and, frankly, can't afford anthing else at the moment.

I much prefer portraiture to any other type of photography, because I get the most out of working with people, and it's the photography I'm best at.
