I chose my cat Ben because she's been my companion for 13yrs now. After 2 hrs of doing the army crawl across the carpet holding my camera in one hand and dangeling "birdie" with the other this may be the last photo I ever get of her.

I love frogs! And this little fellow is actually a piece of soap that my wife bought me. So I guess my avatar tells something about my personality. Previously I had a lame picture of my first water shot:

I'm not nearly as optimistic as the "bowl full of cherries" represents

I do like cherries though. I'm just not a huge fan of self-portraits of myself (even if my flickr icon is one). And now, well, if nothing else, I've had this avatar since I joined the forum... it just seems wrong to change it

Mine is a picture of me.

I kind of followed the trend as lots of people had 'mirror portraits' as their avatar.

Mine is a picture of Fletch from the sitcom Poridge, played by Ronny Barker. Not sure if people outside the UK will have seen it. Because... Do you really need to ask!
