1 - Do not try to photograph every meal, no matter how beautifully presented your beef-wellington or patty melt is. When he says "Can we eat, already?", it's time to put up the camera. If that is simply not practical, explain to him kindly that the high-powered studio lights you have brought to the diningroom table will keep his food hot for hours.
I love that one!!

Talking Spouses aren't props.

1. Spouses aren't props...
As handsome or beautiful as they may be, I have found the limit to the number of times I can refine my skills using my infinitely gorgeous man! It seems that some people can't understand why you need to take another three hundred pics of them.

2. Spouses arent props, but dogs are!!
If you've been looking for an excuse to check out your local humane society, but the afore mentioned spouse says no....use this as your excuse!

Same here. My husband has given me the nickname paparazzi because of all the random "shooting" I do of him and the dogs. He also thinks I only take him on photo shoots so he can hold the camera bag. I just recently bought a Lowepro Fastpack, so I can at least take that burden off him (although I have a feeling he'll be wearing it just as much).

As far as using the term "shoot", my husband is an upland game bird hunter, so that term is used around our house a lot -- no need for anyone to get nervous. This fall/winter I hope to shoot him shooting.

I have always been a photographer but I didn't realize it until after the wedding. So, here's my guideline to women out there: do your best to earn the money for your next piece of equipment, and if that fails give him the pouty eyes!

I like the first part. That second part though, well.... that just ain't fair!! I have always said, "You women could rule this world if you just set your minds to it!". Men become bowls of Jello in the bosom of a fair maiden. I just made that up! What do ya think?
