But really, I don't have the best system
LOL--this is what I do too!

It depends. Just do what you like. I have some shots I'd put on my walls, but I wouldn't consider the pictures of people I'm not close to in that group. I probably wouldn't go out and buy a portrait of a stranger, and I most likely wouldn't put it on my wall if I did, but you might. It's your walls, do what you want with them.

Now that you mention it, I might create a mousepad out of one of my shots one day. And if I could get wallpaper printed from a photo or something like that, I might just go around looking for just the right texture and make it something unique.

Now that's a great idea. Wallpaper! If I never do wallpaper again it would be too soon .. LOL . . . but, the idea has merit. I've done mouse pads and coffee cups and tees. As far as textures go, I am always on the lookout for a new texture. I'll photograph wood, rocks and anything else that'll sit still long enough to qualify. I think you could create an entire line of wallpaper themes from textures and sell them. Again, it is a great idea. I just have had it with wallpaper. I'll stick with paint

haha, no worries - I cringed at the wallpaper thing too. I hate wallpaper. If there was some other way to get it on the wall without hiring a professional painter, I'd like to know it though - Interior decorating isn't something I'm very familiar with.

I have mine stored neatly on a hard drive on my server. Some I print out and hang on the wall, some I upload to share with others.

I print stuff that I think is worth printing...I have hung a couple on my walls.. Mostly I put them in my scrapbook along with the rest of my "normal" social photos. Since my husband & I enjoy this together we end up taking photos of each other when we're out shooting, so it all ties together in the scrapbook.
I also got a glass cover for my dinner table & made this:

Very cool! The tabletop idea is great. So is the wallpaper/texture idea. Of course, the mug, mousepad, etc. is cool too.

It's really fun to see what other people do with their photos. It's very inspirational!

I work for a large company and our office building is one huge "cubical farm." One guy bought about 25 cheap Dollar Store frames. Every month or so he changes out the photos on his wall. Subject matter is mixed with family, landscapes, gorgeous sunset, etc. He prints them on his home printer to cut back on cost. He always has new photos to look at and share with his peers. It is quite a conversation starter. Plus people give him ideas for new places to shoot.

Me... just a few framed shots of the family on my desk mixed in with the clutter!

Default Photo frame

I have been considering the option of buying one of those electronic photo frames to place somewhere around the house. That way I can enjoy some of my better images as well as let visitors see what I can do. When I get bored with one set of images I can display a new set. Then I will just make prints of the very best of the best images for a portfolio. Just the size and price of these photo frames does not seem quite right yet so I will hold off for a while. Does anyone have any experience of these frames?
