I remember my friend getting her hands on one of the first hasselblad digital backs. It was very cool. I never even tried to play with it though - that camera was her life. She almost wanted to strangle a customer just for touching it (not even picking it up) before she had the digital back.

I don't even want to think what that 645 sensor's MP rating is gonna be... 6cm x 4.5cm...yow.

What I would like to see is some better performance out of camera phones. Seriously there are only a handful of people in the world that need something like this. And even fewer that could afford or purchase one. It would be nice to see some camera phones that didn't have junk for lens and some better resolution. Every camera phone I have used has been completely useless even from a point and shoot perspective.

What I'd like to see out of camera phones is better use as a phone first. No cell network is perfect. Phone manufacturers should be working on making phones better, not the cameras that go in them.
I don't understand why people get so obsessed over camera phones. Even if you put leica glass and a 20mp sensor on a camera phone, it's still not going to get the quality even the lowest-end current dSLR will get. They're designed for convienence, not quality. It's the same thing with webcams, children's digital cameras, and other cheap things. As for who uses hasselblads, look up at billboards, or look into a high-quality fashion magazine. Most of those images were shot with medium or large format cameras. Even the shots on America's Next Top Model and CSI are shot with hasselblads IIRC. I hate to admit it, but a hasselblad makes most dSLRs look like toys.

hahahaha, that's old technology, that's why it's being released to the public now. What do you think the NSA and Military have been using in their spy satellites?>
Technology for national defense is mind boggling and most of it hasn't been released. Most of these high end technology companies, Kodak, Microsoft and such are kept afloat with secret government development programs.
