I voted never remember to bring it but never remember to fit it would be more true. However, living in England, not remembering what the sun looks like would probably be truer.

I have a lens hood for my Sigma 17-17mm (my walk-around lens). I guess I haven't caught on to using it yet...there have been times, too, when I've actually needed to tone down a flare, but I didn't have it with me. :P

I always use one. always. It helps with the light sources keeping colors at a tone that they should be. Helps reduce those little light spots. Helps protect your lens from damage and for what ever reason (and this is not why I use one) people think it is an amazing camera. lol I always laugh at that one, I think cause they think its part of the camera system or something silly

I always use them if my lens has one. It helps with flare, and it is like a suit of armor versus random bumbs.

I always keep the lens hood on my lenses, not only to prevent flares but to protect the lens itself. I never leave home without it.
