Well, at least almost everywhere (certain places are definite exceptions
)?This week I'm curious how many people always carry a camera with them and the general type that you carry. For example, you may own an SLR, but you may carry a P&S everyday instead of a heavy SLR. Or you may carry your cell phone with the camera in it. So, are you always carrying a camera with you? What kind? Is there any particular reason other than you just want to be prepared in case the photography bug bites you?

Always have my wee Casio with me....doesn't feel right being without a camera!
I often use the compact instead of the SLR even when I have both out with me....but then I usually go out shooting with a lens that can't focus on anything more than 4 inches away so it's not much use for landscapes

For a while, I was carrying the camera everywhere I went. However, my new job is a secure site and as such, photography is not allowed. So I have to leave my camera in the car while I'm in the building, and with the heat, I don't want to leave my camera in the vehicle all day.
So, unfortunately, I can no longer take the camera with me, and this is definitely frustrating.

I carry my Rebel XTi everywhere, but I admit that I often forget I have it, or feel uncomfortable using it in public.
But I always have it. I have just one bag that I use as a purse, diaper bag, and camera bag, and of course I can't really go anywhere without my wallet and extra diapers, so the camera comes along. When I do find myself somewhere wanting to take pictures, I'm always glad I have it.

I hate not having my camera with me! My recently-acquired D60 is often too bulky to take everywhere, but I specifically buy oversized bags so I can take my P&S (smaller, but not exactly pocket-sized). It's become one of those things I feel weird without, like my phone or a pen. People think I'm a bit mad...

I take my P&S everywhere with me, usually. On the rare occasion I will forget it on the charger or something.
