Thumbs up Earlier Mobile Phone and now Digicam as well

Hi,

I am Jiimbaa. A new kid on the block.

I voted YES

I am carrying my Nokia N73 (3 megapixel, autofocus) mobile phone with me since January 2007. Have bought a Canon A570IS (7.1 MP, Image stabilizer) few weeks ago and have been carrying it in my backpack wherever I go!

Though, I need to start shooting good, rather than just carrying

My website

I carry my G9 around with me. Don't use it as often as I would like

Have to vote no here, but I usually do have my camera phone with me but the pictures are of course only subpar. I would like to carry my 350D with me everywhere but with 4 kids and all their stuff sometimes it gets left behind.

I almost always have my camera phone with me but rarely use it. I don't always carry my DSLR because it is bulky, fragile and expensive... and I often have a backlog of photos I am working through so don't want to keep adding more.

I do not carry a camera with me all of the time and there has been a couple of times that I missed a great, possibly once in a lifetime, picture. I recently purchased a compact camera (Sony DSC-W300) which is small enough to carry. The main purpose of the camera was to get the wife off of film but I am considering carrying it with me for a couple of months and see what happens.

I have my cell phone when I go out... but it has a crappy camera in it... so I rarely use it.
I have a Canon Powershot S5 IS... which I have been told is a hybrid or bridge camera. I take it every where... if it is at all possible!! I have a friend who often calls me "Crazy Camera B*tch"... because I am always taking pictures. She gives me a hard time about it... but has been known to ask, quite often, for the pictures that I have taken! lol... She means it in the nicest of ways...

Almost always, though if I had a DSLR I might prefer to keep a point-and-shoot with a long zoom as my "carry everywhere" camera, and take the big guns along when I know I'll be using them.

Only last week I had to scoot over to our other office for a short while and didn't grab a camera before leaving. Because of that I missed a really good chance to photograph a group of deer that was maybe 10 feet from the car as I pulled into the driveway. Meh...

Default taking camera everywhere

I take a small Canon p&s in my purse/backpack, as well as my new phone that has a camera. And never too far away is my camera bag with the K100D and all that goes with it. I take pictures of something every day.

I carry a Contax point-and-shoot with me all the time. I bring my Digital Rebel XT along if there's a good chance I'll find something to take a picture of (e.g. walks in the nearby nature preserve).

I don't always have my D80 with me but I do have my Point & Shoot in my purse at all times. It takes great photos.
