Default New Feature: Pictures and Albums

There is a new feature which might be fun. Under Quick Links there is a new section called Pictures and Albums. Here you can upload a few images that will show on your Profile page.
I tried it; very easy to do. Here's what it looks like.

Interesting feature. Might have to play around with it. Any limitations on file size?

You can have appproximately 60 pictures.
Maximum File Size per Picture: 97.7 KB
Maximum Picture Dimensions: 600 by 600 Pixels
Pictures will be automatically resized to fit within these constraints if possible. However, you may receive better results by doing it manually.

Very nice feature.

I noticed the disappearance of underlines for links within a post...

Yeah, that one is a bit annoying. Maybe it's something they are still working on.

i'm not familiar with this forum software, but you should be able to change that fairly easily in the admin control panel.

A few other features that have been added:

- user profiles are changed - new look and a few new features including that they are more 'social' (displaying of 'friends' etc) - you can also leave public messages on each other's profiles.
- you can also now style your profile - changing colors etc
- tags - you can now 'tag' a thread which can be useful. When you click the 'tag' (at the bottom of each thread) you are taken to a list of threads with that same tag. Not much to see at this point but it'll be useful the more we tag stuff
- social groups - not sure how we'll use these but you can start social groups from your profile page - you can see one I created for portrait photography HERE
- bookmarking - you can now bookmark/submit a thread to Digg, StumbleUpon, Delicious or Google at the bottom of each thread (there are some icons we need to fix on that section but it works)

PLEASE NOTE - we're learning about these features as admins too and reserve the right to modify them and even to switch some of them of if they are abused.

There are a few bugs we're aware of:

- urls/links are not underlined or styled any more. We'll get this fixed
- there are a few icons/buttons missing around the place - they now appear as text. Again, we're on it
- tags as listed in category areas are too big and make the titles look confusing

There are other new features too - some that we'll need to play with as admins before we decide if we'll keep them all!

Aside from the links, I find these bits of formatting slightly annooying:
