I set up a site for my studio: LightChasers Photography. The home page houses the portfolio, but the blog gets the bulk of the traffic.

Wordpress and go from there. There are other blog platforms, and even PixelPost if you want some specifically designed for being a photoblog. But I use my server space for 3 sites and even though I'm not even close to using up all my space I'd rather not store all the images there (Flickr does that for me).

I have a website, but I don't update it much anymore since I lost my copy of PS7 and got a flickr account.

I mainly did my photo part of my website within another external builder such as Photoshop 7 which also was nice about putting in custom sizes and watermarks.
Another friend uses jalbum which seems to work fairly well for him... I tried it but probably got busy and didn't ever follow through.

I have seen a few good sites made with wordpress as well... I like doing a majority of my web building in notepad but some things are just easier to automate, especially when it comes to photo sites.

For the the folio, I sketched up a design and asked a friend to code it in Flash.

For [URL="http://lightchasersphotography.com/"]the blog/URL], I used WordPress, got a free theme with a structure I liked, then modified it.

Aside from the graphic design software, I pretty much used PSPad (a free text editor that handles .html, .css, .php, and other text-based files better than notepad does) and my browser.

I have a Wordpress photo blog that I keep for updating friends and family. As far as a non-blog website, that's in the works... I hope to have it up and running before the end of the year.

I got my website up just about a week ago. I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.....and yes to many of my HTMLing friends it is considered cheating. I know and accept this and simply state "well I'd like to see you spend 300 hours and make that!"(but they all know it's in good fun). To counter the problem of people being able to just save the image and still wanting to give them a full size view, i looked to lightroom and now create flash galleries. These do not offer the right-click option and will fool most common thieves while still giving a near full size view. My website is still largely incomplete and I'm sure there are plenty of bugs that need to be worked out....but i must say that Dreamweaver does a great job of automating the process.

Yep I've got one too - The Photographer Blog I follow my journey with digital photography and share some photographs.

I'm also in the process of making some changes and adding some new stuff to make it a better place to drop into (hopefully).

After someone wanted to buy one of my prints I had to quickly do what I'd already been planning to do but hadn't yet done. It's only a photoblog at this point but I'm hoping over the summer to work on setting up something that is more of a portfolio/gallery type site with information on purchasing prints. Feel free to check it out:

I recently migrated my website to Exposure Manager. The migration has helped increase my sales tremendously.

Check out my site. It is in my signature below.
