I have an ancient over the shoulder Ryka forrest green bag. It was passed down to me by my dad. It does the job well, it's just not very "me". Someday!

Actually both using at the same time. I put my DSLR in shoulder bag (and a P&S in a pouch) inside a normal backpack. Dedicated camera backpack costs too much for me, and I hate having reduced capacity for other stuff.

Has anyone used or played with both a Lowepro 100 and a Lowepro 200? I've got the 100 thinking I barely had anything to carry, but a zoom lens and a flash later and the 100 is pretty much crammed full. I was wondering if the 200 was significantly larger.

This is bad, but I have a Nikon backpack for my Olympus. I love it for small trips as it has a compartment for my laptop. On hiking trips I take my lowpro backpack which has a spot for my tripod and well, pretty much everything.
On occasion I use a bag if i have nothing else to bring with me but the camera
I rarely use a bag as a backpack is so easy to sling on and is much easy to tote equipment when you are on a motorcycle

I only recently upgraded my gear (to a Canon 40D + 2 lenses) so I'm sort of using a temporary bag. It's an over-the -shoulder Samsonite camcorder bag from Walmart. I wanted something cheap and small so I could cart my essentials on weekend jaunts without feeling like (1) I have a huge bag to travel with, and (2) all my eggs are in one basket. When I get more lenses and accessories, I will upgrade to a "real" camera bag or backpack, but for now, my little shoulder bag works just fine.

I have the LowePro CompuDayPack, but it's huge. I bought it mostly for travel, so that I can carry my laptop, camera, camcorder, Sony PSP and other misc items on the airplane.

Most days my camera isn't in it's bag. It's sitting on my desk right behind my laptop.

Most of the time I don't take a bag as it just gets in the way and slows me down. I usually just hang the camera with lens and flash attached from my left shoulder and walk a mile or two to get where I want to go then put the strap round my neck and we're good to go Tripod can hang from the other shoulder if I take it.

The lowepro mini trekker gets occasional use if I want lots of kit with me but more often I take one camera, lens and flash in a wee toploader bag which goes in a biking rucksack. The lowepro (and every other photo rucksack I've seen) are rubbish for stability on the bike...swing about all over the place when you hit bumps and jumps.....would have to ride like a fairy if I took the lowepro on the bike

I currently use the Lowepro Nova 2 AW Black, but since I can't fit any extra lenses in there I am thinking of buying the Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200 AW.
