    Default Digital Photography Training

    Hello all,

I an total, complete, novice to digital photography. I've been lurking around this site and others, trying to learn what I can. However, does anyone have any ideas of good digital photography schools/training? I've found a few locally and will be attending them. However, I am always up for anything new.

creativeLIVE | a live, worldwide creative classroom

A friend told me about this site, I LOVE it! You can watch most classes (if not all) live for free. I just enroll in them, and a day before the course they will send you a reminder- even if you can only watch for a bit, it's definitely worth signing up for. Enjoy!

Yup, this weekend's session will be on posing. It is a full commitment, however, full day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They do re-runs in the evening of each days session

    Default Photography Training

    Hi,

In addition to on-line training, another option would be to sign up for a local "photo safari", workshop or seminar in your city. Don't know where you live but most large metropolitan areas usually have something like this where local photographers take groups of students around the area to teach different subjects. For some other on-line resources take a look at www.photographyxfactor.blogspot.com which has listings for various photography schools and other offerings. The Mentor Series also offers photography training and tours for all levels and have found them to be very helpful and informative. Hope this helps.

Go to meetup.com and search photography for your city. Youll find all kinds of classes, workshops, and photo walks.

Not really a hands-on training course, but I found the Digital Photography One on One set of video tutorials to be extremely helpful and informative. Digital Photography: One on One - YouTube

I watch these too! I also found a free micro-course at Photography Courses by Karl Taylor

If you're interested in more In Depth training from Karl, they offer full length dvd's for purchase as well.
