Have any of you ever had any dealings with rythercamera.com? I've read quite a few reviews for the website, and some people are pleased with their dealings and other people were plainly disgusted.... What I can't figure out is why they have such fantastic packaged deals. Such as on the Nikon D90. You can buy the camera and kit lens for $1194, or you can buy Packaged Deal #1 for $1115.93 which includes:
Nikon D90 SLR Body Only
Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens
SecureDigital™ - 4GB Professional SD Memory Card
SD Memory Card Reader
All Aluminum Full Size Tripod (57 Inches)
Flexible Mini Table Top Tripod
Universal Screen Protectors
Deluxe Lens Care & Maintenance Package
Memory Card Wallet
Deluxe Fiber Cloth
Flash Fixers Image Recall Sofware - Recover Your Digital Images
Deluxe Shock Proof Video & Camera Case
Remote Switch F/Nikon Digital SLR Pro Cameras
318AF Digital Slave Flash For Use With Digital Or Film Cameras
They have many more packaged deals too -- that's just the first and cheapest one. It just doesn't make sense to me that they'd include so much in the package but you'd pay less... Sounds too good to be true!

The flash for example seems to be a china special by Sakar and is quite limited (full power only, for example). The SD card is a bit small, and likely is a no-name Type 2 or 4 that won;t be up to the speeds you would want.
I doubt they are losing any money by tossing this stuff into the kit....but it still may be a good price for the kit overall. I would investigate VERY carefully to see why they are selling it cheaper then the simple kit...the fact that they list the D90 as Body Only means to me that it is almost certainly a refurb...it doesn't make it bad (I love refurbs), it just looks like they may be being a bit shifty.

They're not listed on ResellerRatings.com.
Roshenk has listed some valid concerns.
Stay away. These sites usually claim these great prices, then call you to tell you it's backordered and won't be there for ages. They try to upsell you to another model and when you say no, they "remind you" that Oh, right, the camera doesn't come with a battery. Or charger. Or cables. Or this or that or some other thing that the camera normally comes with.
Save yourself the trouble: Use reputable dealers.

ajrichies They have slightly lower than normal prices, but none of the packaged deal stuff. I'd never heard of them either, but that doesn't really mean much, because I haven't heard of quite a few sites... What sites would you recommend to get the best prices?

According to several reviews on Resellerratings.com:
"This company is a scam and a rip-off . Their tactics are fraudulent, shady, and deceitful. I ordered an item and received confirmation of the order. Five days later, I received an email requiring “confirmation” of the order. I was told certain parts were not included unless I ordered additional items. I was also told the item would take 10-14 days to ship even though their website stated 1-2 days. I attempted to cancel the order, but was ignored until I actually got angry. Don’t waste your time. This company is crooked and dishonest."
